I'm just curious where some of the lower gas MPGs live or what is your gear ratio. Mines a Sport with Max tow with 4:10 gears, on 315 70-17
BFG KO2 A/Ts with 2.5" of lift. Maybe post your setup as well so op can get a idea of what all you have on your JT, bumpers, winch etc...
I'm located in the Charlotte NC area and do about 70% city driving and 30% hwy. Lots of up and down hills. I have been averaging between 16.4-17. I figure once I recalibrate the computer for 35's I'll be between 17.5-18 average around town.

My MPG tumbled when the winter blend gas hit the pumps. I'm in WI. In the summer I could hit 20-22 mpg on the hwy if I was conservative. Trying to do the same in winter I'm lucky to hit 17. I'm running stock 33's Falken MT's and 4.11 gears.

It seems (or I'm hoping) that several posters here are using remote start / idling time in their numbers which is not a reflection of what the truck is achieving. A truck this heavy (and towing, and/or with mods) could use a V8 with minimal MPG hit, IMO.

I figured out a method to get better gas mileage, which resulted in me getting 28.1 mpg on a 57.5 mile trip this morning.

Please share. I'm assuming a 57 mile decend from the top of a mountain. Just a guess:CWL:

Right at 15.4 on BFG A/T's 315 70-17. Mostly all in town driving with the occasional road trip 1-2 hours on the interstate doing 75-80 mph.
Have you reset the computer for the tires, just curious. I'm mostly city myself but I'm still getting 16.5-17, it fluctuates. I also haven't reset the computer for the different tire size and when that happens I should go up to around 18. Running the same tires. Also what gear ratio do you have?

I drive mine to, just crazy how there are so different MPGs being registered. I mean I have getting 5 days worth of driving pretty much off $20 worth of gas in my area. That gives me roughly 177 miles of driving off 9.71 gallons of gas, pretty much all city. That's based on my personal calculations not the computer, which is around 18 mpg.

There is another thread on here somewhere and the mpg's are all over the place and range from 10 to mid 20's. It's impossible IMO to relate someone else's mpg to yours with so many people running different setups and different terrains. Heck if you drive in windy conditions often enough in this aerodynamic wonder its bound to have some effect.

For what it is worth I've gotten 16.9MPG average for the 4,100 miles I've driven my LE with the Mopar lift running 37" Ridge Grapplers (still running the factory LE rims). This is pretty much exclusively in town driving. I did a 300 mile round trip here in Michigan last week, very flat, and all highway speeds of 70 MPH and got IMO a very respectable 17.5MPG. I do not have a lead foot at all though, I can see how others wouldn't do as well.

How much do those Ridge grapplers weigh, just curious.
