I ordered a set of 37"x13.5 tires and wheels mounted and balanced. When I received them 3 sets had no weights and one had 2 little squares on the very inside lip.
The jeep shook like an old wash machine. I stopped at a jeep shop and the guy suggested I go to Discount
tire.

In a short time they were done and pulled me aside to let me know about the lack of weights.
3 tires took around 4 oz and the 4th took 6 oz . The one tire that had the weights, the weights were mounted on the wrong side making it worse.

when done I drove 10 miles down the interstate at 80 without any feedback from the steering wheel.

Discount Tire had a row of Hunter balancers and made very quick work of it.

I hope Quadratec reads this, They will get an ear full later. I have read other posts with similar scenarios. Just my story.
I will still use them in the future, just not sure what is going on.

@mrdinks,

Wow, I'm glad to hear your were able to make it to one of the Discount Tire stores to have them road force balance the tires for you.

We appreciate your shout out.

Unless its a smoking deal or a tire that my local @Discount Tire can't be competitive on, i don't like buying package deals like this. Last one I bought from 4 Wheel Parts Wholesalers (TSL Radial swampers on Pro Comp rims), and they came just the way you mentioned. Barely even got 30 mph before the truck started shaking like an Elvis Dance move.

I've got a really good Discount tire by me and they basically match any deal I can find.

Glad you got it settled

I had a like issue from Quadratec ordering a set of mounted tires/wheels for my then Wrangler JK a couple of years ago. Balance weights if there was any were the cheapest ones that could be sourced with very little adhesive on the. I flung most of the weights off within the first 5 miles of driving them.

They really do suck on their tire/wheels sets when it comes to them being mounted and balanced correctly. Only saving grace is that I am 45 minutes from their warehouse in PA where they do most of this work and when I called and complained, they had me come by and redid the work correctly. This of course is not a option for most though.

I have watched their job posting from time to time and they always seem to be looking for a tire/wheel installer. So that tells me they are not paying to keep anybody of quality and experienced around to do that job.

Jeez, this is the 2nd similar thread in less than a week's time. I can maybe see weights falling off during shipping, but they won't shift to the wrong side of the wheels.

Hello Randy,

I am very sorry to see this. Can you please send me your order number and I would be happy to look into this. I have also given this information to our logistics warehouse manager to have this information given to the shop where these are mounted and balanced to make sure that this does not happen in the future.

Thank you,
Hailey

Not sure where to ask this question... so here I am. From researching , if what I've found is correct... the stock/OEM wheel for a 2021/22 Gladiator Rubicon is 17" / 5x5 / +44 offset / 5.9 backSpacing, can you verify this ??? Looking to see if mounting a 37" tire , would a wheel with 4.5" backspacing / -18 offset work ? Also, on a side note, I realize the +44 makes for very tucked under the fender wheel and a flat face on the rim... is there a reason in the Jeep community many would stay with a +44 offset rather than the 18" like I am looking at. I realize the 18- will stick out from the fender just a little, would this be a concern ? Thanks !

I am running my 37" on a -18 offset wheel. They stick out but that is what I wanted.
On a side note Quadratec did make things right with me and I thank them for that!
