Question about lifts

While im pretty mechanically inclined, ive never installed a lift before, so i have three questions, 2 general and one specific. Im looking at a 3.5 inch, for context. If there are threads for this id happily take a link for them.

1. With a JT, what lift kit and/or height do you need to install a new pinion arm. I see several kits that do not include them, but from my understanding you pretty much always need to replace it.

2. Do you need to lower/modify any skid plats for JT lifts (transmission specifically) when lifting, or is there enough clearance that you don't need to except for extreme lifts.

3. On the Sport S max tow, does anyone know if the BFG KO2 35/12.5s with stock 17s will fit under a 3.5 inch lift without any rubbing. Height wise, im pretty sure they will. My concern is primarily the width of the tire rubbing when turning. I'd prefer not to add wheel spacers in, but I'm not opposed to it as a band-aid until I get aftermarket rims with more of an offset.

Pitman arm is not necessary until praobably 4" or more. even then there are better options. An adjustable track bar is more important on the front.

No issue with skid plates or guards at 3.5"

I cant speak for sure on the max tow, but I'm 95% sure 35's will clear with no issue on a 3.5" lift.
depending on wheel of course. The willies in my signature is a 3" jspec lift with 37's. Clears full lock and full articulation with stock fenders.

You won't need to replace anything steering-wise on a 3.5" lift, but depending on the brand of lift and how much they over deliver on their advertised lift height, you may need a front driveshaft. Definitely get front and rear adjustable track bars to center your axles back up and adjustable control arms to get your caster and pinion angles right.

You have Max Tow, so you have the wide axle. You could put 35's on where you sit and would only have to worry about rub on front bumper close outs (fog light covers).

Now if you go off road, you'd have more rub issues than that with articulation, but that's fender flares and fender liners.
