So today I got through adding a 1.5 alloy front poly level spacers (with shock extensions), and a rear 3/4 daystar poly spacer set. These were added on top of my front rubicon springs and to the rear max tow springs. (Rubicon fox shocks all 4 corners).

Those who have done poly spacers, did it make your ride feel a little more mush / sponge-like. Maybe I am just not used to it yet as I only drove it a couple miles down the road and back, but when I did the rubicon fox shocks and front rubicon springs, I kind of had the same feeling until I got used to it.

Also BTW, i saw a video where someone was doing day star rear, and they mention they didnt think there was anything to worry about which way the springs etc are clocked. Im not sure this is right, as I noticed the isolator on the top of the rears has a nub like the fronts do, and also a spot on the isolator for the end of the coild spring to rest against. Just FYI.

Any thoughts on my original question though?

I have the same setup except I didn’t install the shock extension, mine rides pretty firm. What spacers did you use ? I have the Daystar 1.5” front and .75” rear.

The rears do index at the top. No change in ride.

I got 2.5" Poly spacers on mine and I haven't noticed a spongy ride feel. I don't see how it would make a difference if they are poly or steel/Aluminum, they ain't going to give.

The polyurethane ones are kind of soft. At least the alloy brand ones. Yes they are thick but I could see them giving more than say a terraflex which looks to be a hard solid plastic
