Random unplugged wire dangling down near break pedal

Hi guys, today I was driving and noticed something hitting my foot, so I when I got to work I took a look. I have a random unplugged wire hanging down, I tried to look for a spot to plug it in and couldn’t not find it. It is a pretty tight space so I may have missed it. Has anyone else run into this ? I wouldn’t expect that the jeep just has an extra wire right? Any help would be appreciated.

It might be the connector that is there to allow you to plug in a trailer brake controller.

That was my thought too, but the brake controller connector is a square 2x2 grey connector.

If it’s a plug to a module, hook up a scan tool, it’ll provide a code

It is not the trailer brake controller connector.
