Hey everyone so I noticed I get a random vibration in the front the Gladiator, I can feel it in the steering wheel. The last thing I did was an oil change got my tires rotated and installed a steel bumper. I doubt any of those three will cause vibrations.

Do the motor mounts on the eco-diesel go out pretty quick?? Im sitting at 27k miles

The only thing I can think of is maybe the motor mounts are starting to go but then again I’m only at 27k miles

It’s only when I’m at idle. Once I start going, the vibrations go away.

I’ve had that for a while, 3.6 model here. It comes and goes but some times at idle in park it just vibrates, then in drive it’s fine, nobody has been able to help me with this

Yea a couple times, they always say it’s comparable to other models and it doesn’t have a check engine so they can’t dive deeper. I thought it might be the exhaust vibration or mounts also. These have hydraulic mounts so you can check for fluid leaking which I haven’t don’t yet

So i don't want to start a war but I read somewhere else about people running a higher octane (at least 91) and they feel their engine runs much smoother. I'm on my second tank of 93 (because i obviously hate money) and sometimes at idle i can't even tell that the jeep is on. Won't cost you but an extra $20 to see if that fixes your issue.

A tire rotation can absolutely introduce a vibration in the steering wheel that wasn't there before. If an out-of-balance tire was brought from the rear to the front, or if the lugs weren't properly torqued, you'll notice it more now. I'd start here, get them checked out, rebalanced, and the lugs re-torqued. It's the easiest and most likely explanation.

EDIT: Didn't catch that you said it was only at idle. That sounds normal to me.

Engines naturally vibrate at low RPMs and smooth out at they rev up. Feeling a slight vibration is nothing to be worried about.

If your motor mounts were bad, you would be able to see the engine torquing or “jumping” in the engine bay as you rev it.

Even though it just started to do this? It started a couple days ago. It was fine before

anyone know if bad oil or over filling the engine with oil would cause vibrations?

Just got a notice saying there is a recall for the high pressure fuel pump, could this be the issue??

No. It would kill your engine if it went, and oddly enough if the engine can't run you'll actually have no vibrations to speak of.

A little vibration is fine. If you have heavy vibrations, that's different story, but from the sounds of your posts they're within normal expectations for a running engine. It's completely normal to feel slight vibrations at idle, and if they go away when you give it throttle, that's also completely normal.
