You got me thinking this is the way to go. The re-engineered FOB in my pocket, a hide-a-key or similar in case I get locked out and in case I were to lose the new FOB, keep an original battery-less FOB locked in the glove box, center box, behind a rear seat or just hidden where it wouldn't be found. Or ... relocate the RFID chip into something totally different -- maybe a pen case -- that no one would think to use to start the truck!@-miko-

I mentioned Faraday Bag .... you can also just stash the 2nd stock fob in the JT with the battery out of it. Have the fob with battery removed in a baggie with the battery loose in the bag. When you need to use the 2nd fob, put the battery in it... Faraday Bag is the easier way to go...
Trivia... maybe some do not realize this.... you don't need the fob itself or a battery ... all you need is the RFID chip that is housed in the fob to start your JT/JL.
With the chip, just press the chip itself, against the starter button while you have foot on brake pedal and you can start the JT/JL and drive away... Just know that each time you start, you will have to start the same way.. by pressing chip against the starter button...
