I can't wait to get the beta test under way. The sample looks great in my opinion. I really like the "gladiator" print on the back.

The first time I saw this I really didn't appreciate it, but after viewing it again I totally get it, you sir have missed your calling.Ok, it's late, I'm tired and the inspiration I drew from my kids' car seat buckle for two-piece fob turned into something that resembles a beetle but I need sleep. Thanks to member @JonRJackson 's awesome hand made Gladius design for the finishing touch (we can share the profits from the fob...ha). Anyway, forgive the sloppy photoshopping. The idea of the curved areas where the key gets released would double, of course, as a bottle opener when the key is separated from the fob for use. The car seat release is probably far more secure than the current button that everyone complains about.
In theory, there should be room for the key to slide in under the cicuit board and battery in its own sealed off section. The buttons may have to slide up to make room for the battery. But i will leave that up to someone smarter than me to figure out.

i really like this. i'm really looking forward to a much smaller option that still retains key functionality. thank you!Ok, it's late, I'm tired and the inspiration I drew from my kids' car seat buckle for two-piece fob turned into something that resembles a beetle but I need sleep. There is really no issue with the key fob, just the difference between Jeep VS Toyota Prius owners.I think im one of the few who has no issue with the keyfob size and it being a problem. Good to see people coming up with things though.
Iām down to purchase and help test out products. Send me a PM if you need anyone to help with this! I 110% hate this dang key fob, and I didnāt purchase an AJT one since I donāt quite like it either.
this looks outstanding, i'll be ready to buy when you're all done the testing and into production, looks awesome and bump to see this on each page going forward! heck i'd take a red one now for my manual, just lock/unlock and panic, i can emt or visa or whatever lol, just private message me if it's an option yetI am looking for up to 10 beta testers. We've gone through several iterations with improvements being made based on my use. The photos below show the current version I have been using and the renders show the next generation I expect to have Monday.
Beta units should be ready by Monday November 23rd. If you are interested, please complete this form to be included. Ten testers are all we can accommodate and it's first come first serve.
The beta fobs will not be water-resistant. I don't have the beta terms pulled together, yet. Once I get the beta list pulled together, I will send each individual a short questionnaire with additional details.
I chose the red color and icons for the fob shown. There will be an opportunity to specify the color for the beta fobs (red is not the only option). The print on the back is just intended to show that the fob can be customized.
Once the beta is complete we will work on a water-resistant option. Then an option with built-in key.

I'm stoked as well. I like the red a lot, and the "gladiator 1 of 10" on the back as well.this looks outstanding, i'll be ready to buy when you're all done the testing and into production, looks awesome and bump to see this on each page going forward! heck i'd take a red one now for my manual, just lock/unlock and panic, i can emt or visa or whatever lol, just private message me if it's an option yet
Awesome great work! Any chance u could send the file over for me to try to 3D print? Iāll tell u what I think before you manufacture it (obviously mine wonāt be as good cause I donāt have professional equipment)Like many of us, I am not a fan of the Gladiator keyfob. On top of it's size and the overactive switchblade key, my jeep logo is already coming loose, after a few months of use.
I have investigated the AJT fob and I am not a fan of that either. I made the decision to design a new fob.
I am designing the fob so the key is integral and slides out if needed. This is similar to many of the current fobs on the market.
I am posting this here because I am contemplating producing the fob once the design is complete. I have access to some of the most advanced additive manufacturing equipment available and can produce full-color, textured, customized fob housings. I figure if I am going to the trouble to make my own, I'd see if there are certain features or design considerations other people would like to see.
I will have alpha prototypes this week for fitment/function testing and then we'll dive deeper into the ergonomics, shape, and key action. At this point, I am planning to reuse the factory button cover.
If this interests you, please let me know what you'd like to see with a redesigned fob.
Cheers,
Carl

Am I misreading?? What in the world are you doing with a chip imbedded in your hand? I didnāt think I was that out of touch with technology...All kinds of uses there. Everyone will have one eventually.Ok am I the only person thatās going to ask about this..?Am I misreading?? What in the world are you doing with a chip imbedded in your hand?
