I had max tow springs under the rear of my 2020 Overland.
Sat just a tiny bit lower (stiffer but shorter - they are dual rate springs).
A bit stiffer ride - not a lot. Still squatted while towing. (500 pound tongue weight)
So, for my 2022 Overland, I kept the stock springs and went air bags.

I was considering and may still get Max Tow springs because of towing, but if they don't help much with the load then perhaps Timbren SES bump stops instead.

Guys. Guys.

250mi trip...3 occupants. 400lbs of cargo. Stiffer springs on my Mojave shocks. It rode and drove great; didnt bounce, and the shocks didnt blow.

What springs did you replace stock with? Also, did you just replace rear or all of them?

What are you basing any of that on?

Why are new springs and airbags required to carry 300lb?

Why does carrying a 300lb load mean the shocks will blow?

I think i would humbly suggest you dont actually know. Unless youve shock dyno’d the shocks, you dont know what the valving rate is or what the spring rate range is. The spring rate required to adequately carry 3-500lb with minimal squat is not that high. If the spring doesnt cause the shock to bounce, then its not being over driven.

As i type this, im pumping gas into a Mojave with 300lb in the bed and stiffer springs. It drives and rides awesome.
What rear springs are you using?

What springs are you running and are they front and rear or rear only? I am looking at the alucab topper, RTT, and and awning. About 400lbs, and trying to figure out what to do about the sag.

I installed Dobinsons HD coils on the rear when I had the canopy camper, standard JKS front coils for 3" lift. I switched to a contour canopy and it rides nicely Aftermarket bumpers and a winch, frequently a bike rack, two bikes, and a fridge.
