Thanks for the reply. Yes this is my first time positing on the JT forum. I just moved over here from the JL forum after selling my 2018 JLUR and purchasing a 2023 JTO.

I appreciate your input and explanation. I am familiar with how a triangulated 4-link works, Ive just not driven one as a daily driver and was curious of its road manners, particularly on a JT. It sounds like you feel you rig now handles even better than stock form both on and off road.

I will also have a hybrid suspension set up, with the only Rock Krawler components being the control arms. Im currently on a 3" BDS lift with Fox 2.0s. This dealer installed lift, unfortunately utilizes the factory control arms. And I know from personal experience the factory arms are about the weakest point on the entire vehicle; one drop on a rock and they fold like a taco. So, these will be the first of many changes as I fine tune this suspension.

Thanks again for your information.

This is the setup that the WJ's were setup with, and if your not aware lemme tell ya they were probably the most road friendly solid axle jeeps ever made in my opinion.

If I’m not mistaken I believe Synergy makes a bent track bar too. The pictures of the Skyjacker track bar show that it’s bent, and also affordable, but when it came in the mail there was no bend, even after confirming with Extreme Terrain that it’s supposed to have a bend and they verified before shipping, it was not the case. I also purchased the Clayton front springs diesel specific from them since they said in stock, only for them to take my money and 5 days later tell me it should be arriving in April. They gave me 10 dollar store credit for my inconvenience, I threw it away.

I just had the same experience with extreme terrain, wont be buying from them again...

Look at Metalcloak rear track bar. It says it will clear up to a 38" tire. I have one on order. I have the first one they released a few years ago along with the front track bar. Very happy with their products. here is the link: https://metalcloak.com/jt-gladiator-rear-durotrak-track-bar.html
Thanks for sharing.
Two quick questions:
1. How do you like the MC Rear Track Bar so far?

2. What size spare do you have?

Am hoping you say a 38” spare. If so, what brand and model?

FYI. Am putting 38” Patagonia Milestar XT (MT backorder for 3mths) and having a MetalCloak 3.5” lift installed. Together with full skid plates, truss and gussets, etc.

Hoping my full size spare can fit in the spare carrier.

I run a lot of Metalcloak products on my Jeeps. Never been disappointed yet. I am running a Toyo Open Country RT 37X12.5-17. They run pretty true to size for a 37. Fully inflated I have a full 1 1/2” of clearance.

Thanks.

Good to know there is a bunch of clearance left over with a 37” spare and the MetalCloak Rear Track Bar.

Fingers crossed my 38” Milestar Patagonia XT will fit with the Metal Cloak rear track bar.

Will post some pics once it is done.

To expound on the RK 4 link, there are several reasons it's much better than the stock setup. The stock setup worked great on the rams, which is why they stole it due the JT. The problem is with long lowers and very short uppers you get high pinion angle changes under suspension movement. The more travel you have the more extreme the angle change, not good for a Jeep. The other issue is the front track bar is mounted to the drivers side, pushing the axle passenger on compression and pulling it drive on droop. The rear does the opposite which results in the terrible head toss when entering driveways or dips at an angle. The truck is literally moving the front and rear in opposite directions. The RK 4 link kit fixes both issues. The uppers are now 24.5" long instead of 16.5" making for much more consistent pinion angle throughout travel. The rear axle now moves straight up and down on compression and extension instead of side to side eliminating the cross talk between the front and rear on bumps. Smoother, more planned, and more consistent. Worth every penny.

Yes and no.

My 38” Milestar Patagonias fits under the heat shield and it isn’t hitting the tow hitch area, but on the sides….

it is over the frame of the Jeep. Simply too wide. But it still kinda sortaworks with one side over the frame. Doesn’t look great but it does fit in the spare

As and when I go off roading, I’ll probably put it in the truck bed and strap it down.

Please note that the spare is currently at 40psi As and when I do the 5 tire rotation, the tire that will be in the spare will be ~30psi or less.

I have my portable inflator in the Jeep bed all the time + my tires are set to 30psi anyhow al going to 25 psi will be fine

Hopefully it fits within the steel frames when it is 25psi

This is what I have as well and I will say it made a dramatic difference in ride quality and handling.

Depending on your brand liking, the RK 4 link is darn near the same price of Upper Rear Links + Sway Bar

That is a nice setup, to bad it went up 300 dollars..... and to bad it doesn't work with the diesel.

Looks like i am going with metalcloaks setup, good value, and have some of their other parts.

I like the bend of the WFO but not for 405 bucks, and core 4x4 will bend you a bar but not a ton of info plus their price for their HD is a little higher for what you get from MC. The clayton stuff I don't like the extreme bend they have, rather have a gradual bend then a kink, less stress, that kink will see all the load.
