Hi everyone. I just bought a new 2022 Mojave today. On my way home the windows were very foggy so I turned on the rear window defroster. The rear section on the driver side worked fine. The middle window and passenger side of the rear window did not defrost at all. Obviously it’s under warranty, so I’ll take it in. I was just wondering if anyone had this experience. Strange to me that one section works and the other 2 don’t. Thanks

I do not even see how that is possible. It is single path heating element on the wiring diagram "Backlite - Electric Heated". Should be all or nothing.

I can see the middle window (slider) not working if the cable gets pulled off. Not sure how the left and right sides are connected.

I brought it to the dealer to have it fixed. They told me the window was leaking water and they were submitting it to Stellantis to have the back window repaired under warranty. It got approved. I dropped it off one morning, and picked it up at 5. The defroster worked perfectly after that.

I never knew the window was leaking, despite it being such a common issue on the forum. The service rep showed me the pictures they submitted for the warranty claim. It really only looks like a few drops. I’ve had the new window installed for about a month or so now. I’ve only folded the rear seats once since, then to see if it was leaking, and it was not.

Good to hear. My window was only leaking very little during a downpour. Maybe 10 drops in an hour. I wasn't going to wait that long to find out.

Glad you have it fixed and defroster works.

Haven’t messed with it much. Likely just let the dealer fix it, don’t what them denying warranty.

Could have been worse, way worse.
