Recall: 1M+ Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator Fire Risk (June 9, 2026)

Anyone else notice that their VIN was not included in the initial recall and was later added?
Entered my VIN when I first saw this pop up here and nothing..

I have a 2023 Rubicon and just got a notification in my insurance company app (Progressive) that there was an active recall. Went back to verify on Mopar website and sure as heck, there it was!


Edit : I am not special, nor did I read every post of all 24 pages until after I posted my question.

The initial notice was placed before the Vins were announced. It was like 4 or 5 days later.

Built September 2021. 28k miles. That red wire on the smaller connector is a bit concerning.

I’d throw a layer of tape on that or have the dealer take a look. That has some heat damage in my opinion.

There is no "list" per se. I was told Jeep will be sending out "invitations" for lack of a better word. You get the invite, bring it in. Stopping by on your own will accomplish nothing.

I have not read all 24 pages and 350+ posts, but......... apparently there's not a fix out yet?
That's odd because the 2026 models and the 2025 models made in 2025 are not affected. So that means they are somehow different. Why not just put the 2026 parts on or use the late 25 parts as an example since those are apparently no risk. With two Jeeps in the garage with the 3.6, I was glad to see neither of ours are in the recall. And that made me wonder - why not? What's different? Why was it changed in late 2024 for the 2025 model year?

Exactly this and you would hope it could be a simple plug and play with those units that are “known” to be good.
Apparently not so plug and play for whatever reason.
We shall see.

I searched for parts and there are 3 different pumps. One says 2020-2023, one 2024-2025, and one for 2026.

Who knows.

I wonder if they have no way to ID which pumps have incorrectly sized connectors and they sure as shit aren't going to replace 1 million pumps.

They'd have to have a procedure where a Jeep 'tech' can make the distinction.

Nah they just charge you for all 3 and figure out which one fits. Only have to pay for labor for 1 of em though so

I heard that they are going to get all of the notification letters out by 7/9. Hopefully everyone will receive theirs in the mail by next week.
