Recall: 1M+ Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator Fire Risk (June 9, 2026)

And not too long ago I was teasing my buddy that owns a Taco and a Tundra...Pulling up my Jeep on the Jeep app, "Look....NO recalls, no nothing !! Can YOU say that ??".

I'm just waiting on that phone call..... His Tundra infotainment screen issue of it blacking out ain't nothing compared to my vehicle burning down.

I can see it now, he's gonna call me and say "This song reminds me of you !!!" and in the background he'll be playing The Talking Heads "Burning Down the House"....

Mine shows to be in the recall 2021 Mojave. I have mine on the repair list at the dealer so when the fix comes out I should be one of the first to be repaired .

which one should I worry about?

On the list, I'm looking forward to making an appointment, sitting and waiting for 3 hours for them to do a quick inspection, and if something needs to be replaced, having them tell me the part is back ordered and that I need to leave my truck with them for 4 months.

They wouldnt keep the truck if they find the Jeep needs the replacement parts would they?

I don't have to worry about mine catching fire going down the highway. Has it's own air scoop for cooling. Inner fender pulled away on this trip.

It would have to be the big power on the left. Wouldn’t think the small control on the right would cause much heat

Probably a good idea for everyone to lookup one of Shadow’sPapa’s guides to unhooking your batteries. I figure some folks will want to do that for long term parking and it’s not as straightforward as one would think.

I wondered if it might be as simple as pulling a fuse to cut power to the PS motor - nope, the fuse for the electrohydraulic power steering (EHPS) is one of the high current lines (125A) bolted down to the Z case fuse. N6 on my diesel.

If post #14 has all the 2021 pump numbers listed on recall mine is not on that list . Build date 2/21 pump # P68507576AB . I Hate having it sit in the driveway instead of the garage .

Is the fix WD40, Dielectric grease or duct tape i plan on doing the repair myself do not want to use all of them and waste the supplies? i am parking at the fire station when i am not driving.
