Hi All, I'm trying to fight sag on the front and rear suspension of my JT Willys with the addition of the steel skidplate, 3 piece bumper and an 8k winch. I have the heavier/wider performance rock rails and a fairly loaded slimline 2 rack over the bed. I have the Mopar 2 inch lift kit with adjustable track bar and adjustable lower control arms. With the rack alone I'm fine with the rear suspension height but there's just too much sag on the front. I do tow a Taxa Mantis Overland so will probably need to either go HD springs on the rear or air bags. I'd really like to pick y'all's opinions on what I might consider for front and/or rear springs to complement the 2 inch lift front and rear shocks without ruining the ride. At this point I'm leaning HD springs all around and see how things go or maybe HD springs of some manufacturer (suggestions anyone?) and bags in back and see if it rides okay?

Thoughts?

looks like nobody likes your question ;)

anyway i was looking to replace my Mopar springs with something to level out my truck. Jeremy from 813 fab swapped out to Dobinsons springs a while back and looks like his truck is fairly level. Info on what he did is in the below thread

https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/...ils-heavy-duty-coils.31922/page-3#post-883563

you will have to contact them directly and provide them with a few measurements for them to recommend a spring, unfortunately its not just off the shelf type of deal

Ive got Mopar lift and 3/4 daystar spacer up front there is still a slight rake and by slight i mean slight. Once i put the Smartcap on it didn't look to bad and i ended up not going the Dobinsons route. Ive got a heavy bumper, winch etc

hope that helps

Do you feel the spacer in any way changes the spring response? I am just concerned that you’re now changing spring characteristics or anything else with dampening? Only reason I wasn’t gonna go that route.,

Clayton 2.5" springs would probably work well for you. They sit about 1" higher than Mopar springs, so you'll get your height back. The rear springs are triple rate.

Or just use a coil spacer in the front since it seems you are mostly happy with the rear height. It doesn't change the springs characteristics. It changes shock dampening slightly because the shock is now riding in a different stroke range, but it's a very minor change that normally doesn't cause a noticeable ride change as long as your shocks aren't way too short or too long prior to adding the coil spacer.

the Mopar lift by design gives a soft ride, i've had the Mopar kit and 3/4 spacer on since 2021 and no issues

its only 3/4 spacer nothing too crazy so it maintains the original purpose i think when you start going with a larger spacer than 1.5 you might get into issues. A number of owners have the 1.5 spacer on there with no issues

great, easy and cheap enough to try for sure.
