Well I've had to play catch-up on this conversation, seems it's devolved into a sealing dumpster fire. I had a sight mark z max green dot on my long gun for a long while with mbus iron sights. It went wonky on me and couldn't center or just work properly anymore. But sightmark stands on their lifetime warranty, they sent me their newest red/green dot as a replacement, no questions. It locked in my top rail and only needed a few clicks to line up with iron sights. I'd suggest any shooting enthusiasts learn to keep both eyes open
