The diesel will get you the 8HP75 transmission that will hold up better with the Hemi and you could probably sell the diesel for a sizable chunk. Of course if you're already planning on a transmission swap then this is kind of irrelevant.

While you're replacing the driveline, you may as well opt for an Atlas transfer case. You don't need to spend extra for the Rubicon trim if you're replacing the axles.

I'd recommend an Overland with the aux switches, leather seats, and the 8.4" audio package.

What has made you miss them thus far?
Just the convenience for hooking up lights and other accessories combined with the clean look of the switch plate. On a plus side, my can of Copenhagen fits perfectly in the empty hole where the switches belong.

Lol I was regretting it as well until I found this https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/using-homelink-buttons-to-power-lights.23091/

My arb switch it right next to the unit and winch I don't think I'll need them either. Which leaves just lights. Have your dip and chew it too.

You know you can always add the aux switches, right? This is actually one of those packages that can be added yourself after the fact without much downside.

That's what I plan on doing to mine.

Yes, waiting for them to arrive. WAY cheaper if ordered from the factory after you consider the time of install. I have read a few install procedures and watched videos where they state 3-6 hours to complete the install.

Yeah, this is what I figured as well and the guys I am working with were pretty honest about it. LED fell into this same category which is why they also made it into the 'must have'.

Fair enough. I've read the install was a PITA. Are you doing it yourself, or paying someone? The next time I'm in my dealer I'm going to ask for a quote - I'm curious what they'll charge.

I guess the main point I was making is that, unlike the trail rail system, the aux switch CAN be install after the fact without much pain (other than $). The trail rail system, however, ALSO includes the under seat locking storage and a 110-volt outlet in the bed - neither of which can be easily added after the fact.

You are right! And thanks for bringing up more regrets! I really wish I spent the same amount of time on this forum before I ordered my dream Jeep versus the amount of time I spend reading it now! But four hours until I head out for the weekly beach trip and all regrets will be forgotten!

If I were planning to do all that you have planned OP, I would get a Willys or an Overland with every creature comfort you can slam in there vs getting a rubi or mohave and ripping out all the features you paid extra for. Can't wait to see what you do, sounds like a great build.

yeah. Don’t disagree with you at all. All I can find with the options I want currently Is a mojave - see if anything else pops up in the next week or two. Should start the build mid March!

I'd argue for the mohave just for that hood, it looks great imo.
