How big a SD card do you need? Do most of these record to an SD? Cloud?

I have a 126GB card. But my cam pairs to an app on my phone so I just pull clips off from that.

Great thread, does anyone have any recommendations for either motion or sensor cams for if someone touches your car or walks near it while you are away?

Dash cams are both useful while driving but also while parked, if it loads into the cloud even better just in case the camera itself is stolen.

I use a Garmin Mini dash cam that turns on and starts recording on start up. I chose it due to its extremely small size since I didn't want a large cam on an already tiny enough windshield lol. It sits behind my rear view mirror and you have to look real close to see it from the outside.

I just run a 64 GB. Can choose SD or HD. My Nexbase 322 re-writes as the card fills up. Saves way more footage than I need. Also has a save button to capture the last couple minutes that won't overwrite. Want a picture? Touch the screen.
Parking sensing, interior cabin cam etc. Currently running it from cigar lighter, will hardwire to my Gladiator when it gets here...

I use an Owlcam which records to the cloud. Also detects when voltage is low and will shut off to protect the battery.

Garmin dashcam mini. I have it wired to my aux buttons and have the button set to turn on when the truck starts. I also have the parking cable wired in for the camera when its not turned on.

Yes, there’s a subscription as it does not require Wi-Fi or pairing to a phone.

Funny I was just talking about this very subject today at work.
Bosses want it for liability on company vehicles.
Seems to be a very common option in Europe too.
