I just had this same problem intermittently over a recent 2 week trip. Once you cleaned and tightened the terminals, did you have any additional problems or did that take care of it?

I can’t explain why, but I have found that the following works every time.

Before I connect the 7 pin harness to the JK I reach inside to press and hold the control knob until I get a solid blue light (a couple of seconds). Immediately afterwards I plug in the 7 pin connector and always get a steady blue light.

I’m sure this is an unorthodox solution, but it has been working for me. As long as it’s working, why question success!

just out of curiosity, did you try this after the blinking lights and it corrected it, or its just been working since you started doing this?

Before I started doing this my light would blink every time I connected. After pressing and holding the button for a few seconds and releasing it just prior to connecting, I have had no issues. Can’t explain why, but it has worked for me every time I have used it.
