Anyone done this with a wrap? Assuming it would work fine.
Just like the idea of being able to "un-do it".
I think a wrap would give you additional flexibility to design and remove. Most dealers will not deduct for minor enhancement

I'd love to do this, but I'm extremely anal when it comes to painting... if it doesn't look perfect, it bugs the crap outta me.
Wouldn’t cost much if you removed it before taking it in to have it done.

I'm curious if anyone has followed this dash removal process but then wrapped their panels with vinyl. I'm thinking of going this route so I could change the color or go back to stock more easily.

I thought folks were doing this on their own? Or are people removing the dash and taking it somewhere?

EDIT: Or, I see what you're saying--since I'm anal about it, remove it and bring it to a body shop to do the work... gotcha :)

There has been some discussion about if wrapping is a good idea, the passenger airbag exits that panel by splitting that panel horizontally. Taping over that split may cause the airbag to exit the dash in an unexpected way. There may be plastic and other assorted debris ejected with the deployment.

Great point! I’m painting mine. When I deploy the airbag I’m married to, all assorted debris gets ejected at me too. I know what to expect.

Exactly, can’t be that much.

that alone is a good enough reason for me not to do it. Thank you for pointing that out.

Painted mine "Patriotic Blue" rattle can (3 coats of paint, and 4 coats of Matte clear) as I have blue accents on my Sting Grey.

It looks great! I appreciate the work that goes into this as I just did mine last night.
I'd love to see a pic of it with the exterior to see how it looks with the Sting Gray.
And I also have my black leather steering wheel from my Sport S for sale if you are interested.
It was only on for 1,000 miles.

Like the Matte Clear. Great job
Thanks. I love it. I have a few things with the blue accents (RokBlok mud flaps, tow hooks and tailgate wrap border) but I think I like the dash the most.
