That picture does not make me want that tray. Which is to say... it don't look right on a Gladiator. Hopefully they'll have it installed on the XOverland Gladiator soon so I can see what I think.

PCOR was involved with the CODEX/Dynatrac project. There are pictures of it elsewhere on the forum, it was displayed at Overland Expo.
The difference being, the CODEX project shortened the cab so it has a larger tray system in place. This looks to be a direct 1:1 replacement.

Is anyone considering either swapping out the JT bed for a flatbed or for a tray body? I saw one mock out there with a replaced bed that looked pretty sweet. When I look at all things Patriot Campers, I think it would be pretty bad ass.
Checked it out. Looks pretty awesome!!!

Norweld Trays are excellent. Cannot go wrong with them all aluminum.

I am going with the Patriot Campers PCOR Tray and 3/4 Canopy myself,

Exploration Outfitters is the Dealer in the United States for Patriot Campers. I talked to hem and was quoted $9900 for the Tray and $15990 for the 3/4 Canopy. Good luck.

I just came across this video. Shows an overlanding build. They didn't a complete bed replacement. Removable sides, storage, etc. Very sweet set-up!

I’m in Australia right now for a business trip and have really taken a liking to the aluminum tray. Most of the pickups here have the trays, they are very light 300lbs and cheap, $2,200 AUD.
The main benefit I see to the tray is a much better departure angle than the stock bed.
PCOR is just too expensive though.
Mainline Overland is the US distributor for NorWeld and they offer the 5ft bed for around $6k

they also have the full integrated canopy starting under $9k

if there are enough of us, we could do a group buy for the new Gladiator tray (posted earlier)

I love the idea of a tray, and if they can be found cheaper than PCOR then thats even better... but I'm not seeing a solution for letting the dogs ride in the back... though I guess with a tray, anything is possible. On the note of them being everywhere in Australia... buying a Landcruiser 70 directly from a dealer, you have to pick your tray choice right up front. They ship directly from the dealer with an aluminum tray if you want. WTF is the US so backwards about our vehicles. (I'm also looking at the Tacoma size v the Hilux.)

I think it would be cool especially one with removable walls and a sloped cloth cover to make it look like a rally truck. but I am not sure I will be modding this one. I want a simpler truck with less electronics. I almost feel dumb having a manual with all this 'bound to fail' shit. I hope I am wrong about it but why on earth do we need all that electrical in a Jeep???? Maybe a better question out there is 'How do we gut all that auto stop/start crap and put a key back in so i can start from a roll with no battery?????
