Recently traded my 2018 Rubican JL & my PU for a 2024 Rubican JT in Alpine finish.
I really don't want to lift it and have read that if I change out the fenders and inner fender liners I should gain about 2.5" of clearance which is all I need for my 315/70X17 KO2's. I'm looking at the Quadratec Fenders which can use the OEM turn lights form the OEM fenders.
Looking for input regarding these fenders and suggestions for inner liners.
I don't want steel of plastic inner liners. I'm good with the Quadratec fenders being pliable plastic after the last 5 years of often scraping the fenders in tight turns and trenches.
Appreciate y'all opinions, experiences, and suggestions.
Be safe, kind, and helpful out there.

Hi Chip

I could be mistaken, but I was under the impression that the 315/70 17 fit with no problems on the Rubicon.

The Rubicon and Mojave have the high clearance fenders already.

Thanks Ben, I have the same understanding, but am looking for more articulation room. I am not considering a lift due to my wife's difficulties of climbing in. She is short and has knee/hip issues, but she loves to drive the trails!

I used the Bushwhacker Hyperform fenders on my wife’s 18 JLU and gained a ton of clearance. They have their own LED turn signals built in. The flimsy plastic bends easily and doesn’t deform when hitting objects. Just fyi. Have not seen the Quadratec ones in person.

Thank you for the recommendation. Did you add inner liners, if so what brand and are you happy with them. Also, did you have to tazor the system to get the turn signals to work?

Sorry Chip, been at work since I sent that. We had to use JScan for the turn signals since hers was a factory halogen model. For the inners I used whatever was cheap to be honest. I probably picked them up off of eBay or amazon. I do believe we got close to 3” of extra clearance on ours.

Just finished my swap. Rubicon chopped flares also have aluminum inner fenders and rubicon suspension on my sport. Plenty of room for 35s with no lift and full articulation. These are 33s from a mohave. 285/70/17. Using infinite offroad frnder chop brackets. Grimm front liners for the arb compressor install. Motobuilt rear liners cause they were cheap openbox.
