I won't call this an official review since I haven't done anything other than drive on the road with it, but I did just get the aluminum version of Rock Hard 4x4's new diesel-specific belly pan. I loaned them my rig to build it from since they can't get their hands on one from the factory for quite some time and in exchange I received the skid system.

This is one beefy setup! The crossbars are 1x2 solid bar stock, the plate is 1/4", and the whole system is well thought out. There is an access panel for fuel filter replacement, and so far I haven't noticed any increased heat issues. It shields everything from the engine oil pan back to the muffler and fuel/DEF tanks.

The team at Rock Hard 4x4 was awesome to meet, and clearly focuses on putting out a quality product. I can't wait to get on the trails this fall and try it out!

looks beefy and expensive.
I'm sure it's not going to be cheap. Other manufacturers are charging north of $2k for a similar setup. I'm sure the cost of ripping one of the emissions systems apart would eclipse that, if you can even get a replacement with the supply chain issues going on right now.

Absolutely could be done and in a prior life I would have done the same. I no longer have the shop space for such an extensive fabrication, nor the time to design and plan something like that.
