Funny, I did not see the RSE steps in that video. What I saw was an ad for JL rock sliders. I know what real rock crawling is, I do it at least once a month with my JK.

You had a set of RSE steps? How long ago was that? Did you have the optional armor?

The Gen 3 steps are vastly different than the Gen 1 steps. The RSE steps are the most solid steps I have found for a power step.

They are not in the same class as the Shrockworks rock sliders on my JK. They were never meant to be. If you need a serious rock slider/rock rail AND don't need a step, no power step is going to work.

If you need s good quality drop down step that can take trail hits, these are them. The Amp steps are not and neither are the Ace power steps.

That said, This thread was simply to give someone a 10% off code on a set of Rock Slide Engineering power steps. It's not to convince anyone how good or bad they are for a particular situation.

Many here have them, many here off road with them and they have survived the occasional rock hits.

I said when they can post a Video like this... shit happens on trails and saying they can take a occasional rock hit ..I just ask to prove it not like the ones I see that are from them.

I said I had them years ago. But still reports of them getting damaged, froze up from gunk etc..

I think they would be fine on a street or mild over lander but not for any trails were big rocks are encountered.. even 1 big hit could make them non functional.

If they feel otherwise please post a Video taking hits like I posted.

This is not the post for your opinion on the build quality of them either. There are plenty of posts where you can voice your opinion. This post was simply for those who have made the decision on buying them and would like not to pay full price.

I already said they are not for everybody.
