Rock Trix Custom Jeep Center Caps

The other 3 caps went a lot smoother once I got the press set up properly. All of them are taped up ready to go. One issue dawned on me as I was prepping the caps for epoxy that I don't think the JL member had considered. I slung tires as a teenager for about a year and I remembered how I normally popped the caps out: I would turn over the pry bar and use the handle to quickly push on the center of the cap from the back. In his video he only put a dab on the tabs of the inner Jeep cap. I decided that wasn't going to be enough for a tire tech the likes of me not to knock the Jeep center cap out of of the larger Rock Trix cap. So I decided as I got the epoxy mixed to fill it up past the tabs to completely encompass the interior. Took a whole tube, so I'll be out tomorrow getting more to finish this up.

This one below is the last cap that I reamed out, and surely broke one of the tabs off. Should have taken just a tad more out before I tried popping it in

I like your idea to use a ton of epoxy. It’ll make the caps one unit.

I have Rock Trix wheels as well. Would love to change the center caps. Please let us know the final product writeup on this.

What offset did you get? Those look real good.

They are 17x9 with -12mm offset. I am currently stock height and have zero rubbing on or offroad, sway bar connected or disconnected.

Your right, it's just the lettering.
I'll use them somewhere.
I may buy the black Jeep caps.
My RockTrix caps do not have a hole in the center like yours so it may be easy to do.

I've been working long hours this week, nearly 14 hrs/day so I have had zero time to finish up the other 3 center caps. I hope the weather holds out this weekend and I can get the truck washed, have all the caps installed Saturday and have pics for everyone.

Well, I got the caps all epoxied last night. Had some leak through around the edge of the inner Jeep cap, but after it fully set over night, I was able to remove the excess with a plastic scraper and some alcohol. I'm pretty pleased with the project overall. Any questions on it, let me know!
