I love my Jeep but hate the tires. I get rock/pebbles in my factory Overland Duelers and it drives me crazy! After driving down an unpaved driveway it sounds like I have studded tires on and they don’t fly off when I hit the asphalt. I know there is an easy solution but no tire upgrades in the near future. Never had this problem with my other vehicles. Anyone have any tricks on removing the mitt full of rocks embedded in the tires?

I pick up a few coming out of our camp gravel lane. By the time I get a mile or two down the road, the gravel usually dislodges.
If I see the larger stones in the tread while I am locking the gate I will remove them, but if this is a driveway you go up and down every day, that would drive me crazy.
We had 2b layed down years ago so it is well compacted. Sounds like you have a lot of fines getting stuck in your treads.

This will be pretty common with most all tires you put on your Jeep. I have the same problem with my falken wildpeak ATs, which are stock rubi tires. Your going to have to let it go, kinda like the bugs on the windshield, or the gush of water that falls into your lap from the roof channel when it’s raining heavy out.

With street type tires yours will get small pebbles, but with larger tread (ATs) get large rocks in them. Feel lucky because the large rocks are way worse when they come flying out hitting the under carriage, wheel well or side steps.

From what I understand, many MTs have large enough tread gaps they don’t get rocks in them. But I guess that depends on the brand.

Thanks for the replies. It is a driveway I go up and down every other day as it’s my parents. I had a Cherokee with more aggressive tires and it wasn’t as bad. My tires are littered with small aggregate. I guess I’ll just need to live with it. It’s not the appearance but the sound that is annoying. I guess lots of things in life are annoying and I can just turn up my stereo more.
