Running stock height and stock front bumper. Sport S with Max Tow Package is completely stock with the exception of the Falken Wildpeaks 285 75 R17.
Wow nice.
No rubbing off rode? They look good but pretty in there stuffed too.
What did you gain and inch in height over all? How’s the mpgs?

Gained about an 1.5 inches. Haven’t been off road yet, but more than likely my off roadies will be beach and camping. Jeep Gladiator was purchased for the towing capacity and tongue weight over the Jeep JKU. Lost about 1 mpg, City/Highway 18.7 as of today.

Does anyone know the weight and backspacing of the stock overland wheels? I’m contemplating swapping to the same size AT3 XLTs posted above. I don’t want 12.5s for weight reasons

Guys, urgent question if anyone can help me out. I have an overland and am looking to order 285/75r18 Coopers.....I see two different ones listed in that size, can't really tell which one I need

There is:

Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT 285/75R18 129 S Tire (about 266/tire)

and

Cooper DISCOVERER AT3 XLT LT285/75R18 E 129S Tire (about 296/tire)

Beyond confused. To preface I don't do anything extreme with the truck, it's more of a family hauler I just want some more aggressive looking tires that will be decent in Ohio winters. Any ideas or help/guidance? Thanks in advance!

Looks like one is “S” rated and the other is “E” rated. Sometimes the difference is also whether or not one tire is snow rated (triangle with snow flake symbol) or not. Call a tire shop or tirerack.com to figure it out.

Also, if you choose a 275/65/18 you won’t have to recalibrate your speedometer.

Careful about tire ratings... anything D or definitely E rated can start to feel harsh.

Thanks! I went with the E....hopefully don't regret it, pumped to get them put on, got a great deal discount tire has 80 of right now and they price matched an online deal I saw through Walmart.

I recommend going 285/75/18, I went with 275/70/18 ridge grapplers and wish I would have gone with a 35”. Mine are supposed to measure 34” and there’s plenty of room

285/75r18 Cooper AT3 XLT. Aside from tint it’s my only change. Returning my level kit because it doesn’t rub at all so planning to maintain stock suspension. Cooper has an awesome aggressive tread. Love em.

Looks like an Overland.

Now that you’ve had those 285/75R18’s in for a while, how is the gas mileage?

I’m thinking of doing the same once I get my gator green—I mostly do street driving, non highway, between 35-50MPH in most places.

Just curious how 35’s with 3.73 gears do for “around town” gas mileage...

Good for around town in my opinion- I’m at 17.5mpg total at about 2k Miles; and 1500 are with the tires. Keep in mind, I haven’t gotten the recalibration on speedo so it’s 8% better than what is displayed.

Wow, at highway speeds you’re getting 12MPG?

What tire pressure are you running?

Let me clarify a little;
I was getting 12-14mpg with STOCK tires above 70mph.
Now I’m getting 12-13mpg above 70 with Coopers (marginally worse than stock; albeit still terrible mpg).
13-15mpg at 65-70mph with Coopers.
And 16-18mpg below 65 with Coopers.
I’m mostly cruising 65 on highway now and with 2k Miles am at 17.4mpg total (with 60-40 city-highway driving).
I can literally feel the drag of wind and road when pushing past 70mph so it doesn’t shock me as it’s the least aerodynamic vehicle on the road!
That being said, at 17.4mpg combined as of right now, I’d consider it GOOD mpg for what it is..
Finally, I have yet to correct the Speedo for the larger tire size — which means all these numbers are actually 8% WORSE than the true reality (8% of 17.4 is 1.39; which means my true average mpg is closer to 18.8) which, again, is pretty good if you ask me!

Edit: Tire pressures are 38 all around.
