I just bought a new Gladiator and cannot decide on steps. I have read through all of the old posts and still cannot decide. Which do you prefer as far as looks go? Is there another step in the same price range o should be looking at?

I have the contour steps and really like how they follow the lines of the truck. Install can be a little tricky, but not bad especially if you have a jack or an extra set of hands. They were the best value in the price range to me, back when I was looking about 6 months ago.

I really like my contoured steps from RC, couple important things if you put mudflaps from RokBlokz or maybe others on the steps they stop before mudflaps so you don’t need the cutout mudflaps. Another neat thing is they just didn’t make a pipe and weld steps on, if you look at the rear edge of step rail it exactly matches the body angle coming down, and finally up pretty high for steps against body and you don’t see the attachment points, I weigh about 240 dressed and they are solid for me, on my Mojave I don’t really need them but my vertically challenged wife and grand kids love them and use them! They work for me and look awesome, and look made for the truck.....Jack

Thanks, Hey JTBurns and I just two guys from Pa., living 1.5 hours apart, just styling the step look!
We should know sometime in spring how the finish holds up to the road salt and the nasty brine slurry.

Luckily for me road salt and brine are not really a big issue for me where I live. ?

I went with the DS2 step. Looking back I would have chose the contour step just because of how they follow the body line. However I am very happy with them. They are very well built and very heavy.

Weird thing was the RC contoured steps were much lighter then the factory rock rails!

Haha yes, not looking forward to what the nasty salt does to the truck, but do want to get out in the snow a little bit!

I’ve got the contour steps as well, already started rusting on the welds after a year. Probably will apply some paint on them in the spring to make the cosmetics look better, and will continue to look for a deal on aluminum steps. I like them but just don’t like seeing them rust so fast.

I have contoured steps. They look nice, but not 100 percent happy with the fit. The passenger side looks like it's slightly warped as it doesn't contour the same as the driver side. It has about 1/4" more space between the body.

That would drive my OCD crazy!
