RSI Smartcap delivery times.

Hi, need some help with understanding what’s going on with my Smartcap EVO Sport order. Placed last February through a local shop (trying to support local) it was six months then a couple more months each time I checked in until now it’s this month or February - one year from order date. They say Keystone is the US distributor and no one can get any sooner than them.

Offroad Alliance sez they had them and then ran out during this time period but are getting more and I could have it in a couple months if ordered through them.

Can you tell me how long it took to get your cap? When you ordered and when you received? Am I just getting jerked around?

You are another victim of the supply chain issues affecting products coming from other countries. Couple that with a single USA distributor, and it compounds the problem. Orders are supposed to be filled in the order placed, but the local shop is probably in line behind several large orders from other companies that sell nationwide. I had to wait about six months for mine, but I was part of the initial production order. I bought from OffRoad Alliance instead of local. I did not have to pay shipping or sales tax, and it was delivered to my driveway.

With as long as it has been, I would advise to just wait for the one you ordered. Anything you do now would likely result in taking longer to receive one.

Ordered mine the same time, just showed up. They are putting it on tomorrow. Go to the rsi guy on this site and shoot him your information order date and number with the location of business. They are supposed to fill by order date, he may be of some help. That is whati did.

I disagree. I also ordered my smartcap in February. After being dragged along by this company until my order ETA was pushing a year from ordering to February of ‘23, I cancelled my order and ordered an AluCab Contour end of December. Two weeks later and I have my AluCab, just as it should be.

RSI must be having some pretty severe issues with their production. I was told by my truck shop I'm number 26 in the backorder line for California and they're not likely shipping here to California until June or July!

Someone must've screwed up on entering my order at the distributor because my guy has the paperwork on his end so it sounds like Keystone dropped the ball.

When it's all said and done it will be 1 year and 4-5 months from date of order to delivery.

I have not had luck with Jeep stuff! I never thought it would take longer than the Gladiator to get at over 4 months for the first one which arrived damaged or the second one which I gave up on after three months (after being led to believe it could be 6 weeks) so found one on a lot 120 miles away.

Love the Gladiator so I wait...

It's not so much a Production issue, but a Supply Chain and Delivery problem. I thought they were building a new plant in Texas to help solve it?
