I figured better to post a separate thread on this rather than spread throughout the 100+ RSI page.
As with other brands similar, the factory mounting brackets won’t work without spacers. I sourced my own hardware and have reinforced rubber strips I cut to length and used a hole saw to make the holes.There is no issue being able to torque down the nuts as this rubber is SOLID. I prefer to use this mount rather than the frontrunner mounts, these spread the clamping force better and the material itself it’s thicker.
Now I’m waiting for a buddy to come and help hold the awning up for final placement.
