what caused the gap between the edge of the grille surround and your flares?
I juts picked up a set of 4 rubicon take off flares for my S max tow. The rubicon it came off of also had the halogen DRL, so all of that looks the same.

I am going to have to source some of the clips and rivets though and figure out how those rivets go. I was looking at some of them that came off the take off's and it appears that some of the rivet bodies are different than the others, with some being shorter?

Anyone have a good place to source what I need??

These flares were from a Rubicon with the factory LEDs so the mounting bracket for the turn signals was different despite them fitting shape-wise

Best place for the pushpins and rivets was JeepHut, liners is through the dealer as you wont pay the $200 shipping freight costs by buying from one of the "mopar parts" websites

If there is a Harbor Freight Tools near you, check there for the rivets. They have a rivet gun with plastic rivets that are identical to the factory rivets, and I think the whole kit is about $15 if I remember correctly. I also recall Amazon being the best source for the clips, with some pretty dramatic price differences between sellers. I bought the least expensive I could find, and the were exactly like the OEM's.

So apparently, and with the help of an outstanding member of one of the JT FB pages/groups with a shop in Cincinnati, the lighting mount bracket is different between the Sport S Max Tow fender flares and the Rubicon Fender Flairs. The lights are the same and fit, the bracket is different. The bracket for the Sport keeps the fender flare from fitting just right, close against the flare panel. And the Jeep dealership says there is not a separate bracket part number. I ended up taking it to a body shop and they said they could modify it a bit with a little cutting of the Sport bracket, which is keeping the flare from being able to attach to the fender. So, now I don't feel so bad because the shop has spent an hour trying to figure it out. But, I've negated almost all the savings from buying the takeoffs, ordering the liners and push pins. One of the risks of buying takeoffs/used. If I had known a bracket was even a difference there (I looked up parts diagrams before starting) I would have ordered them along with the liners. And ultimately I could have saved the $250 in installation costs and put that towards fender flare chop lights. Still ahead by $150 over buying new off Quadratec...yay...

Anyone have any advice for removing deep scuffs and scratches from the plastic?
I used this pic 5 yrs later to figure out how to put my LED fender back together after I took it apart to fix a broken plastic support. That pic shows exactly where it goes. Lol
