Anyone do this yet if so a write up. Or use After makket C's and just cut old ones off.
Want to adjust castor to 6-8* and have the pinion at what ever was stock ..or 6*
Don't want top change to tons at this time.

I’ll be honest- I’m not really sure what you are trying to say in your post.
To adjust the pinion angle after lifting you need to twist the axle with adjustable control arms.

while I can’t say ā€œyou can’tā€ 99.9% of those out there are not going to cut off their axle C’s, rotate and re-weld back on.

If I’m not reading your post correctly- let me know.

Did you recently lift and looking to get everything back in check? 2-2.5ā€ lift usually you can get by without adjustments… my experience, greater than 2.5 and you really need to adjust.

You cut..the weld so the "C" can be turned then once set you reweld it. This is commonly done esp on JK's and stock 60's that are being setup for Jeeps.

Adj arms cannot adjust so you have 6-8* of Castor without loosing all Castor. Plus using them lowers the pinion angle. For some this isn't a issue for me it is.

I've had full build jeeps but have put 60's in that were either modded or set by Dynatrac or ECG to my specs.

Just wondering how others if any have done it..JK's done this way and lots of info on the web..JL/JT's nothing.

I find it's just not necessary unless you are running a massive lift. I've run as much as 7.5⁰ of caster on 3.5" of lift in 2 different JLUs with 0 driveline vibes even running 70+ mph in the desert in 4wd. Is the pinion angle perfect at that much caster? No, but is it off enough to cause any issues whatsoever? Not in my experience. A cut and turn is a bunch of work with the potential to cause major issues. Why do it just to do it? I'm guessing that's why you don't see any writeups?

Just trying to not have problems and learning whats needed on this platform so bear with me.

Ok so since there is 6* of spread stock ,at 7.5* of castor your pinion is down 1.5" I would suspect. Your running the stock DS I would assume ?

I had 14" C/O's-Bypasses in the front granted all custom so it would flex fully.

I had issues with custom front DS's with 7* castor and 4* up pinion on my JK as the CV would bind.
And I would expect the Rzeppa Joint would be reaching its limits also?
We were destroying them on JK/s maybe the JL/JT's are different or at just 11" of shock travel its not a issue ..

Pinion angle takes precedence over caster angle.

If you can't get your desired caster without vibrations, that is a situation where you might rotate the Cs.

I'm not sure at what lift height this becomes an issue on a JT, but it would be pretty tall.
