Preferences? The Mopar is $100 more than the Rugged Liner.

Did you ever get a drop in liner yet? I have a Rugged Liner on order and was curious to see how it fit especially with the bed lights.

I ordered the Rugged Liner and I am disappointed. The bed portion fits very well but the tailgate part fits poorly and I had to trim it to make it fit. It has a90 degree bend that holds it off of the tailgate that has to be removed. I made a post about it that has pics that I can’t post now

Thanks for the feedback. I'll probably just do what you did. Maybe even run a bead of silicone down to keep things from getting between the liner and the tailgate

Have either of you compared your Rugged liners to the Mopar version in person? Just wondering if it is at all better and worth the 100 more? thanks!

I went ahead and ordered the Rugged Liner. After a little bit of modifications to add some tie down rings using the threaded areas around the upper portion of the bed, I think it fits real well. Overall, the smartest $130 I've spent so far on the Jeep. The spray in liners were just too expensive for a 5' bed.

JTpoor, mind posting up a couple pics of what you had to modify and how the fitment is especially proud the lights and tailgate opening? Where did you find it for $130?? Thanks in advance!

Will do. Gotta empty the bed first. In short though, the Rugged Liner has little dimples located in the upper walls of the liner that sorta correspond to the threaded inserts used for the trail rail system. All I did was take a stepped drill bit to open them up to about 5/8" to 3/4" then used some M6x1.0 bolts (all credit to info i found from Moriarty on another thread) along with some combined rubber and black metal washers to both be able to cover the larger holes and allow for fine tuning the fit. Used the same stepped drill bit to open up the holes for the OEM D rings in the front lower corners of the bed. I did this for all the threaded inserts around the bed then used some simple triangular tie down rings I found on Amazon. It turned out really great bc you can literally create your own web of bungee cords to keep small stuff from flying around without having to buy one of those nets.

For the pics I took one of the triangular tie down rings out to show how I had to open up the hole using the step bit. Also, I did open up the rectangular holes a bit around the lights as needed. Not a big fan of the open square where the bed outlet would normally go. I'll find a way to close that up a bit too.

Thanks for the pics and info JTpoor. Overall it looks to fit decently, just wish they left the square closed/untrimmed and just made the installer open the hole when needed.
