2021 Rub Gladiator Diesel. Has the bigger screen. For 2 years the Sat radio worked fine here in Denver and in the mountains, very few cut outs, just when it should cut out (deep canyons). But for the last few months it just randomly cuts out (and repeatedly) when in huge valleys, no trees around, and mountains are shallow and far away.

I installed the Hot Heads roof liner but followed the directions and kept the foil away from the antenna, and that installation was over 1.5 years ago.

Anything the dealer can check, do, reset, firmware, or software?

You can try a system reboot, disconnect both batteries for about ten minutes. The head unit will take up to 24 hours to return to normal operation.

It could be a loose cable at the back of the head unit. It could be atmospheric issues, and it could be satellites that need some minor orbit corrections.

I have noticed random cutouts over the last few months in places I would not expect them. For the most part, it seems to be working fine for me.

Took out both batteries out overnight, and disconnected the intelligent battery switch thing, next morning did the signal reset thing twice via calling XM, no noticeable difference in signal.
Radio still has all the presets, so wonder if it did really rest... ?

I have been having the same issue as well lately. Dealership applied a Uconnect update that did nothing. My wife's Grand Cherokee does not have the issue at all, so definitely something with my Gladiator.

Get ready for all the comments from everyone who hates Sirius/ dropped them / won't pay for their service/ etc....

It’s the hotheads. The foil will kill it completely, but the extra rubber material seems to attenuate the signal some. Same issue here and I’m planning a higher gain external antenna one of these days

I don't have the HotHeads on mine. It happens for me with the hardtops on or with my Sunrider.
