Windshield Protection Film
This is going to be one of those things that's going to be hard to prove works. Extremely difficult to attribute the lack of breaking to the film, and I am pretty sure some of the cracks start from stress of the modular top not rocks. My current crack is not a rock at all, there is no chip or impact, and this film wouldn't do anything for it.
There are many reasons a windshield can break and impact is only one of them.

However, damage from impacts is by far the most prevalent reason for any vehicles windshield to break.

If windshield protection was brand new and we had not yet seen thousands of vehicles windshields saved from impact, alongside our scientific testing it might be hard to prove the effectiveness. Some Jeep owners in particular have gone from replacing their glass 2+ times per year, to having the same ExoShield protected windshield now for nearly 2 years.

So while each drivers experience will be different, we can absolutely say that a protected windshield is 6X less likely to break from impacts when protected by ExoShield.

Where did you come up with 6X less likely? Based on what data set? Please share the data set (no names, vin, or anything else of course - just the relevant data) so we can assess the strength of the statistical methods used.

Thanks

We feel your pain! If technology advanced at the flip of a lightswitch I can promise you our team would be the one flipping that switch to IMPENETRABLE DEFENSE MODE WITH MAXIMUM CLARITY...

Unfortunately that is not the case! What we can guarantee is that ExoShield is the best defense against rock chips that you can currently purchase and have installed onto your vehicle (unless you have a time machine, or know something about alien life forms we don't)

Until then, if you have a vehicle that you use as a daily driver you could purchase our extended glass warranty that does cover situations where damage is caused to the glass through ExoShield.
LOL, Time machines aside....

Quite "funny" stuff...So this is what i am doing. I paid extra for G-glass (luckily NOOB so only 200$, after market much more), now I have to pay (someone posted) $600 for your product to "functionally" insure the GG. But wait LOL!, now I have to insure YOUR product which I already paid for in case my windshield does crack....

This is a quintessential example of throwing good money after bad 3X over.

Interesting product, may consider in the future on my wife's JL. Do you have a roadmap of future upgrades, like adding UV filtering? In my JT I had an internal clear ceramic UV applied when I had tinting done. The ceramic UV filter is totally clear, though I notice it is there when wearing polarized sunglasses. It makes such a tremendous difference, that even in Central Texas I didn't have to use a sunshade anymore.

For what it's worth, I do think that this ceramic tint (even though on the interior of the glass) has kept me from having cracks in my windshield. I've gotten a ton of chips, but no cracks, which seems to be atypical for these windshields. If true (and not just good fortune), then it would make sense an externally applied film could work better.

Pricing is set by our installers so make sure to check with your local installer to make sure the pricing is accurate.

The scratch resistance of ExoShield is powered by our proprietary nanocoating that is applied to the film during manufacturing. Over time you will notice micro-scratching, similar to how glass wears.

Fun fact: at our core we are a nanotechnology company. All of the science behind our world class film has been developed, and continues to be innovated by our team up here in Waterloo, Ontario ??
How will we know if the price is accurate? Your website says anywhere from $369 to $1,099? Without you letting us know a round about price for a jeep windshield is, who knows if we are an accurate price or not?

We did check with the installer that was contacted about this pricing and there was some missed context that is very important to add.

The price that was quoted was actually including the additional glass protection coverage, along with a few other services. We would always recommend you reach out to your local installer to assess your needs before purchasing any automotive protection product!

That’s an arbitrary number without any proof, you’re going to have to prove any of your claims with actual data. Like someone else said go throw some rocks at a windshield with and without and bring it back to me. Otherwise your claims ring hollow because $650 and you can’t even prove it works? Nah.

My windshield got a rock crack. No GG or anything else. I just wait till winter is over and hope for the best. Then I'll get it replaced and hope it lasts through the summer. Just for shits and giggles is there a local installer in the 89521 area code?

I was just looking into this product because I'm about to get my 3rd windshield in the last ~8 months. Coincidentally enough, a buddy of mine got a quote in the Tampa Bay Area- it was over $500, and even more to "extend the warranty". In FL, windshield replacement has a $0 deductible if you carry comprehensive coverage. IMO, not worth the cost if you're carrying comp coverage. I've never seen a window film worth anywhere close to $500. If the manufacturer would sell the film without warranty, direct to consumer, then I'd try it, just as an added layer of protection. Applying film to a window isn't difficult, you just have to use the right tools and apply in the right environment. Otherwise, I'm about to try the chemical products that supposedly work very well, and are like $35 per application.

When I talked to a local installer he said it's pretty much for really nice cars with expensive windshields. He completely agreed that the film was too expensive and not a big enough gaurantee of protection for a Jeep Gladiator.

I don't doubt that it's a good product on the right car, but when I can pay a small deductible for a brand new windshield whenever I want... it's kinda not even worth protecting.
