Secondary battery removal connections question

Does anyone complete the ground on the loose cable connection of the second battery ?
& if so for what reason?

dielectric grease the pin connectors for me

I don’t believe you need to. You can wrap it with electrical tape and tuck it away.

The other end runs to the negative terminal for the main battery.

I just did the Genesis upgrade so I’m going off memory.

The circled ground is the correct ground wire for the secondary battery.
