Sad days. I had to put my Boxer Co-pilot down due to kidney failure. We were leaving next week for Utah. 11 years of adventure, good fortune and travels all over this beautiful country. I miss his slobbers and flapping jowels in the wind. He loved the Gladiator with the top off! I won’t be getting another dog to replace him soon because I still have a Lab mix to fill the void. Show me those window smears and travel buddies.

Rest easy Beau, I’ll take it from here.

Sorry about your pup — it's tough losing them. Mine is almost 12 and just starting to show her age in her movements, but we all get old, right? I'm so grateful to have her in my life.

I’m sorry for your loss. Losing a good dog is something that hits you in a place that unlike anything else. That connection unique. Charlie has been riding shotgun with me since I bought the scout. He was there for the entire build and riding in the scout was his favorite thing in the world. I would tell him in the house to “load up”, he would get the keys off the counter and take them to the scout. Now we have Ethel and the scout is gone. She like riding in the Jeep more than anything, but I can tell Charlie misses the scout. It was our thing.

I had a buddy pass away a couple years ago. Lots of adventures together and I still miss her. She was a great dog... eventually becoming a regal old lady. Age caught up to her. This dog was a family dog but there was no question she belonged to me. She was happiest when it was just me and her.

Now I have a new friend. He is a perfect addition to the family and ready for the Gladiator to arrive so we can get out in nature even more often. This dog is my dog but there’s no question he belongs to the family. He’s happiest when he is with all three kids.

Aww man, I'm so sorry for your loss.

I've got Lyn cranking on 11 years and buddy just passed 2. They love road trips and will defend the rig, Woe be unto those who get to curious or heaven forbid open the door. They are like two extra kids who just showed up one day and never left and now are just part of the family.
