I understand all of you guys wanting to use tint to cool down your truck and save the interior.

That said, I absolutely 100% hate it----one main point of driving safely is to be able to see the other driver hence the restrictions on tint. So many here in Missouri are like you guys and max out whatever you think you can get away with.

Bottomline is when a driver your approaching is on the right or left of you with heavy tint there is no way to see what direction they're looking [or if they even have their head up off their damn phones]. So many times I've had these heavy tinted vehicles just suddenly pull out. Same with the non tinted but I'm ready for it when I see they aren't looking my way.

Like I said up front, I do understand why you do it.
I don’t think I’m going as dark as I can. I feel like the only time you can’t see the other driver is lower than 20% or so.
Ceramic tint matching the rear.

I'll pile on to the match factory rear 25%. Actually didn't have a photo since it was done a few months ago and this one isn't great from inside my garage. And yes, ceramic.

The comments about not tinting the front are total BS. My Jeep was quietly parked in a parking deck completely still and got hit 3 weeks ago. Someone could have their window rolled down waving at you and still pull out in front of you and get hit.

This is 5% ceramic on top of the factory tint so the back window and second row doors are dark AF, the front also has a 5% strip coming down a little lower than the legal windshield marking.

I was going to tint the windshield 25% but I don’t like the nighttime driving like that. It’s definitely needed here in Vegas because the sun is so brutal.

Also for sale if anyone wants a diesel

I've still had plenty of people look my way and still pull out in front of me or just switch lanes for no reason, but I understand what you're saying. I just drive with the mentality that everyone on the road is a dummy and I expect them to do the wrong thing.
Exactly, all drivers are guilty until proven innocent, specially here in Vegas 100% worst I have ever seen. The amount of running stop signs and red lights is staggering.

Has anyone tried a clear front windshield nano-ceramic solar film like this?
Air Clear Window Film
I haven't done it yet, but will be soon. My friend who does tint has it on his work truck (standard cab Chevy 1500) as well as 25% on the doors and the temperature difference on a hot day is amazing.

I wish these manufacturers would simply test this stuff and prove it in a video lol

Not trying to start anything, especially being a new poster, but the OP asked for folks who tinted their rides to show pictures so he could get an idea of what he wanted his ride to look like. Why come on here and express your opinion on tint, especially when it opposes the OP's thread. Sometimes you can keep your opinion to yourself and not put in your 2 cents just to up your post count.

That being said, all of my vehicles are tinted and all of them are similarly set up. I have a gladiator with 20% fronts, 50% over factory in the back(its not one for one, so the back is darker than factory, but not 10%, its more like 15%) and 50% on the windshield. All ceramic and it makes a huge difference in the in cab temps. Also, I added a Coverking Headliner and the sound and temp difference is unreal. I also have a JK Wrangler with 20% fronts, 75% over factory in the back, and 50% on the windshield.

Chris, I could give a flying F#$K about my post count.

The point of a forum is the exchange of ideas, tactics, and techniques to help each other. Blind agreement is not what anyone wants. Sure there are trolls that just want to stir things up but that is not my intent. There is another opinion on tint, which I have and shared. Basically I'm asking those considering tint to consider my opinion before they spend money on it.

I'm sorry my post upset you enough to write about it, but it upped your post count

Sorry, it just hit me wrong. It felt like a troll job to me. OP asked for other members to share what tint they had and discuss tint options. They didn't ask if tint is good or bad. I just felt like it was the wrong forum to express your opinion. I like tinted windows and you can disagree, which is your right, my point is create a new post and discuss it there. Im sure there are plenty of people who agree with you and it would probably stoke up a great discussion. We can agree to disagree on tint.
