i've been wanting to install a package set for a while but haven't got around to it. i have some metalcloak parts on my gladiator and i'm impressed. has anyone installed their armor system on a gas/auto gladiator? i'm looking at durability on rocks or ledges. i know it is subjective as to how hard or easy one drives but i'll take all input. they are a forum sponsor, thank you, and are offering 10% off through 1/20/25. now that the bride gave me this for Christmas, i can no longer delay on anything!

I have a gasoline 2021 Gladiator Sport. Most of my offroading is beach dunes and forest trails. I had to traverse a few stumps in the past and ended up doing some significant damage to a cross-frame and partially crushed my exhaust. So I invested in the full armour package about a year ago. I cannot claim to have done a lot of rock crawling but I have full faith in the 3/8 inch steel providing full protection. I do wonder what it does for my fuel consumption when carrying all that steel plate around? But I'm a very happy Metalcloak customer. One thing: if you do a lot of beach driving it is a bit harder to get the sand cleaned out, but there are some side ports that you can use to flush the system. The photo below doesn't show much, but you can see the plates installed.

A bit ago, I made a poor choice while navigating a sierra rock trail and badly high centered my overloaded JT, which had three of four wheels / tires fully suspended feet off the ground as I inadvertently rolled onto a large boulder the size of a meteor. My original plan to appease my wife using the slider up and over failed as the cross member actually connected with said rock, which rolled out from under the ground with forward momentum / a heavy throttle application, caused my dilemma. Bad line on my part. Pissed off wife.. Good times had by all. I was fully suspended on the MetalCloak Undercloak skid system where the transmission was located. Had I not had the skids, the transmission would have been a goner. Worth their weight in gold albeit they are heavy! Supported the vehicle weight and aside from some scrapes and a large detent in the center, which was hammered out...good to go. IMHO, definitely worth the cost and upgrade. Cheap insurance if you use the JT as intended.
