My wheels are on their way, and have a backspacing of 4.53...

Most lifts that I'm seeing need a 4.5, and from what I understand, 1/8in is the smallest spacer available.

That would what...put me at...4.38?

What are some good brands I should be looking at for a spacer like that? TIA

Can’t imagine a 1/8” spacer would make any difference, problem is any thicker and you may not have enough of the lug nut threaded on to the stud, I believe you need a 1.5” spacer to clear the studs there is no way to use thickness in between without shortening the studs.

I wonder if it would even be necessary to have one. I mean, .03 seems pretty insignificant.

Get a wheel with the correct offset. How wide of a tire do you want to run? Your stock offset is most likely a +44 mm, unless its a Mojave which is a +37mm. If you do the math and want to maintain the inside clearance to the suspension, any where between a +12 and +24 is best with a 12.5” wide tire. Any less offset just makes the wheel stick further out of the fender.

I'm familiar...just the wheels I want are 4.53 BS, and Im not sure how much that .03 really matters.
What's weird though, is that I often see people talking about -12 being 4.5 on a 9w, but the company, despite that, lists 4.53.

I guess Ill see.

.03 won’t be noticed. Which wheels are you going with, and on what Jeep trim, and what lift (if any)?

4.5” of backspacing is ideal for MC and RK, while you can get by with a little more on the Clayton. The RK lower front arms don’t have a tire clearance bend, and the MC has outboard shock mounts.
