Not a relief but I've found it quicker to remove or replace a hardtop than soft top in time and effort.... On a LJ now I get it too, I bought it with a soft top then got a limited run half top for it.... Damn raccoon ripped/ chewed hole in??? that's now unavailable to replace. I found my hardtop for sale on Craigslist and made a drive across GA. to buy it.
So just keep looking you might want to watch Craigslist in Florida for one, not local but a lot dump the tops for Jeeps there and might be willing to ship. another place to watch is scrapyards for a wrecked JT.

I was in the same boat friend. I waited and got a fantastic deal from a forum member. My wife and I ended up making a weekend trip out of meeting the member so it was a good experience all around. Just put the soft top on a couple days ago and its awesome. I love being able to switch to the soft too in spring/summer and the hard top in fall/winter
That’s my plan! Just have to find the deal!

Another thought:

The Dual Top Group in Jeep’s build-and-price shows just under $1000 over the three piece black hardtop. The Mopar parts counter is asking $2100. It seems like you could piggyback onto an order to get the premium soft top that way. Also, more than a few dealers ordered Gladiators with the Duel Top Group and customers shopping had no interest in the soft top. I really don’t see why they cannot be readily had for under $1000.

I sure wish I had gotten the dual top group in hindsight.

Not the run of the mill question! Originally was going to buy the duel top group but ended up finding my gladiator on the lot, most options were there and I drove it home! One that it didn’t have was the soft top and I want one. Saw I can get it from Quadratec but it’s crazy high. Found a few on the listings here but most are a long haul for me. So my question is do I get the discounts through mopar that I got when I purchased the Jeep? Or does someone know where I can get a better price on one? Thanks for any help!
What Do you want to Pay?? I'll sell mine still boxed and in the bed!

..... also, do you know the approximate weight and length of the box?

I may be able to send a dog hauler up that way.

New in the box?

also, do you have any ballpark idea what it weighs? For example, can you pick it up by yourself? Would it fit in the belly of an airliner?

You may find you won't switch back. Course we don't really have brutally cold winters here in Houston. Even the last big freeze I never once found it uncomfortable in the JT with the soft top on.

The box itself with the top in it is not super heavy but just to give you ide of size it pretty much fills up the entire back of the Jeep Truck. When I bought mine the person I bought it from and myself easily moved it from his barn/workshop out to the front where the truck was parked
