Split rear fenders?

2022 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon
I’ve got the American adventure labs inner fender liners front and rear as well as their fender chop LED lights.

I’ve chopped the fronts and got the lights and liners on.

For the rears I can’t decide if I want to just install the liners or split the fenders as well. The only downside is the lower rear section where you can see exposed holes and body framing when split. Thoughts?

I would lean on “need” I am not sure what your setup entails- I am running longer shocks- compressed: 17.91, extended 28.41” zero bump stop pads/extensions, with a 3/4” daystar spacer…. 37x12.5’s 17x8.5 et0

The fatty rubs…. by rubs I mean touches…. The inner liners (this is with the bump joust removed)- full stuff….

The “touching” of tire to inner liner is so minimal, that even when bound up it’s not worth adding bump stops or pulling the liners…..


Bottom line- if more uptravel space is needed and pulling the liners would do it- then do it…. Otherwise? If not needed, why?

I had the same concern about the exposed body holes, so I cut out part of the rear lower and trimmed it as best I could.

Went ahead and just did it, too much half finished projects in the garage. I like it, tons of room, pretty sure I could fit 40s now (currently on 38s with a 2.5" lift)
