picked up my new 26 Purple Rein Mojave at the dealership. as soon as i got home my neighbor came over to check it out. i dropped the tailgate and there are through the paint scratches on the the inside of the tailgate and rear corner of the bed. called them immediately and informed them. this was fifteen minutes after i left the dealership four miles away.
told me to bring it in the next day to inspect it.
after talking to the general manager they said the cost of respraying the floor and tailgate was crazy expensive and offered a LineX bedliner.
not hip on spray in's after the fact. some hourly apprentice sanding the whole bed then spraying over it with the chances of a marginal clean up and me dealing with overspray. i'm a Bedrug guy and really don't do any hauling in the bed.
this i s going to be done by a LineX dealer. thoughts on this process and afore mentioned post spray results.

Line-x is no where to be found around me. I had mine done by Patriot Liner and I am very happy with it. They did a great job masking everything off and the tape lines looked perfectly fine. They removed the tailgate hardware, d-rings, and plastic covers at the rear before spraying. No over spray anywhere. It took about 4 hours to complete. I would 100% do it again.

FYI, the rectangle plastic cover on the driver side likely will not snap tightly back in place. The locking tabs have such a small gap between the tab and bezel it will not lock back with the added thickness of the liner. The wind ended up blowing it out somewhere. I ordered a new one and used a dremel to widen the gaps, but it did not help, almost lost that one too. I ended up putting some double-sided tape under the edged of the cover and it has stayed put since.

You’d be a fool to not take that deal. Line X is amazing. I’ve paid a lot of money to have it on several trucks. It’s never let me down and it’s wildly expensive now compared to what I used to pay. I have it on my Jeep and my Colorado and several trucks before and I abuse it daily and you can’t hurt it.

My last 3 trucks were LineXed. All of our work trucks are LineXed. Have zero issues with LineX.

Get the line-x. Ask them to undercoat truck as well. You can get a really good deal if you bundle it.Dealer pays for bed and you add a few dollars to get the undercoated. Just saying

HELL YES! I had Rhino Liner in my first truck, and it faded and looked like crap after a year or so. It was too soft, as well. Current truck has Line-X, and I'll never consider another liner. After 8 years, it can be hosed off and still looks new. I will sometimes toss our shooting group's (very) heavy steel plate targets in the back, and they don't even bother the Line-X. The paint (on the targets) will mark it, but it fades and doesn't affect the integrity of the liner. An added bonus is, it seriously quiets the ride, because it tightens up the bed. No more rattles and squeaks.

Honestly, it's not needed. I got the most base version of the Line-X and after 3 years in Western NY, and 5 years of Arizona sun, it still looks new after a good hosing.
