Squeaking suspension

Got a 23 Gladiator Willys. 6 months ago did a 3.5” suspension lift (Skyjacker). Im running 35’s wrapped on a 17x9 w/ a -12 offset wheel. About a week ago, noticed a squeaking noise on the rear of the gladiator. Happens every time jeep goes over bumps or humps, pretty much every-time the suspension is flexed…. Any reason why that would happen.

Grease is your best friend when it comes to suspensions. Not sure how the SkyJacker stuff is put together but look for grease fittings on the end of the arms at the joints and give em a good few squirts. If no grease fittings you can use a pointed needle nose adapter to get some grease working in there but it’s messy.

I think your best bet in finding your answer is to locate exactly what’s squeaking. You ever notice if you go into a car wash with suspension squeaks, once everything gets wet, the squeaks are gone until in dries out?

I’ve found squeaks by using a water spray bottle. Get one thing wet, a single spring coil, a shock or something else until the squeak is eliminated, then, you found it and you can determine if torque was right or it needs lubing or whatever.

Did you do the install on the lift?
I would start by making sure everything is tight.
It could be the shock(s) squeaking, it could be control arm bushings, or it could be track bar bushings. Did the lift replace the control arms and/or track bar? Some aftermarket bushings needs to be greased. The factory bushings do not get greased, typically.

The idea of the spray bottle to figure out what is squeaking is good, but I use WD-40. It does the same thing, but tends to last a little longer. Once you figure out what is squeaking, then you need to fix it. WD-40 IS NOT fixing it.

Rear rubber exhaust hangers. This was my squeaking and creaking issue. Sprayed some silicone lube into the hanger where the exhaust hooks and my noises went away.

I have a '21, and since the day I bought it new, it has been the creakiest, squeakiest vehicle I've ever owned. I don't really notice it unless I'm going around my neighborhood at slow speeds with the windows down thankfully.

Found the problem!! Through process of elimination and dissecting each component. Checked all fittings and they were already topped off from my last diagnoses. After i kept digging i found the problem to be the rear sway bar bushings. Took off rear sway bar cleaned it up and added a little silicon grease around the area and that took care of it …
