I dunno. I like MTs on or off hiway. Yeah you get more slop and some more noise on cornering sometimes along with some dirty looks every now and again. I just smile and wave. As long as the lifted truck is driven like a lifted truck it shouldn’t be too horrible.

Nothing wrong with them if it’s what suits your needs and you know how to manage them and what to expect. They’re not my favorite tires but there is not much mud in most of my favorite local trails

I work in rough terrain and a few years ago noticed all the welding trucks were using Kenda Klever tires.
Well I got a set to my dismay they was Load Range E which I didnt see in the description at time of purchase.
However after 1 year and the tire still has 50% life I am sold sold sold.
I immediately realized 40 psi and even 35 psi was way to much air pressure
I got to doing some research and for the load rating versus the air poundage and I have been running 26psi cold for a long time now and they wear even and true . I live these tire. Kenda Klever Hybrid RT's
I previously had Mickey Thompson Baja Boss MT's and although they climbed fantastic in mud they were without a doubt the loudest tire on the road of any tire I ever had by the time the was close to wore out and they cupped also even with a lot of rotation and I only got 25 thousand miles out of them . I will never own another MT tire. Just my opinion. I have got 26k already on the Kendas and they are just now slightly above 50% life.

That's partly why I'm going with Mickey's AT, that and they don't offer a skinny "35" in MT. Plus I'd rather have better manner on road and in snow, because I drive a truck like a sport truck, not an old fart going to the grocery store that wants to be higher up

Mud Terrains have their place, when bigger sized and used for purpose.

I check my tread depth the other day and found out I still have 13/32 left, my mind was blown. Granted I DO have 5 in rotation every 5k miles. But I also DO push them damn hard, well the VSC allows me to push them damn hard. The pavement begs for mercy quite often in my hands.

I have a '26 Willys that came with the same tires you have. Where I live, there are many roundabouts that are terribly annoying with those tires. Took them on a road trip to New England and didn't like them on the highway either, so I bought some Bridgestone Duelers and sold my stock Firestones. LOVE the quiet, smooth ride with the Bridgestones and they made a world of difference. I only do normal roads and once a year head up to Vermont for deer season, driving on fire roads, snowmobile trails and meadows. So for me, they are perfect.
