Curious if I’m the only one. Several times now I’ll be sitting at a traffic light and my SS3 fogs will turn off. First one and then the other. The turn signal is on and the start/stop system is active every time this happens. I can get the lights to turn back on, but only by shutting the engine off. Took it back to the shop and everything is wired correctly and the lights do work on startup. Beginning to feel like I wasted $500.

They plugged right into the existing fog light brackets. I had led lights from the factory. They are turning off when the vehicle shuts off during stop/start function. If I shut the Jeep off and turn it back on they work fine.

Did you change your fog light settings to LED? Just curious if that could cause it.

Either way I'm wanting to see if anyone else has had this problem because im considering getting these.

I have a set of SS3 fog pros sitting in my garage right now. Installing them this weekend and planning on doing exactly as stated in the install instructions. WIll be watching to see you can resolve this. Will put in any thoughts as I go through this.

Mine are the max so I’m guessing the wattage might be overloading the battery during the start/stop cycle. Last night I litterally watched one turn off after the engine was off for about ten seconds and the other about ten seconds later. It is a long traffic light. Only thing is they never came back on. I pulled over shut down everything and re-started and then it was fine again. So far it has done this three times I know of and the lights are not flickering when they are on. If they were I’d assume a short or bad connection.

All of my lights were factory led. So what do you mean change my fog lights settings to led?

I don't have issues with mine, but I started with the Halogen lights. Since it sounds like it's a low voltage issue, I'd try getting a tuner (Tazer/Jscan) and changing the vehicle over to thinking it has Halogen fog lights.

My other thought is just to turn them on when I get on the highway and leave them off in town. I don’t really need fog lights when I’m in town.

Did you resolve this. ? I just ordered a set. Has diode dynamics provided any support ? I don’t want to spend $500+ for lights that shut off on their own

So it still happens when the stop/start system kicks in. So for now I just use them on the highway or off-road. They are great lights otherwise and the company offered some suggestions and was helpful. That said I’m not paying anyone right now to tear apart the Jeep and check relays. I’m still trying to get an Arb front locker installed.

As the voltage goes down the amperage goes up. The aux battery probably cannot hold the lights at peak voltage and then the amperage goes up and trips the light driver in the power module. The driver is set up to regulate max amperage to protect the wiring. When you restart the driver resets.

Couple options. You could add a relay. The relay is triggered by the stock fog light circuit and the lights will be powered directly by battery.

You may be able to have the power module set to hologen and the amperage setting may go up, not positive on this.

To be clear yhere is nothing wrong with the lights. The vehicle is shitting down the power to the lights because the drive believes it is overloaded in that situation.

I'm having the same issue but with my Baja Designs Squadron Pros either when I stop at a light or when I turn sharply like pulling into a parking spot or backing into one. Did anyone find out a fix to this issue? And my stopstart is always off so that can't be the issue.

I'd check the harness both ends of the connectors.......maybe a pin is loose or has backed out some.

I have dealt with this on OEM harnesses

I tried checking that too and they seem fine like they're plugged in all the way but the lights won't turn back on until I turn the truck off and turn it back on again.
