Steel Bumper Question

I have looked through the existing threads, couldn't find an answer (though I found several places where it was asked!).

The stock plastic bumper assembly (tow hooks, plastic cover, metal reinforcement) seems to weigh around 30 lbs.

The mopar 3-piece steel assembly has a weight of somewhere between 78(quadratec) and 83(amazon) pounds.

So you're looking at a net gain of 50 lbs.

When I compare the freedom editions (that come with the steel front bumper) and those without the steel bumpers I don't see an appreciable difference in height.

Can anyone who has swapped these over AND MEASURED the height before and after chime in and confirm if they experienced any change in height up front?

I can't imagine it making much of a difference considering I can sit on my front bumper now and it barely moves (and that's much more than an extra 50 lbs! haha)

Mine dropped the front end when it was stock right at a 1/4". That's with no winch or winchplate.

Mine dropped very little, guessing 1/4-1/2 inch if that. That’s with 100# extra for bumper plus whatever winch weighs. I just did a TeraFlex 1-1/2” leveling kit and I’m almost perfectly level.

The factory install includes springs matched to the weight of the vehicle with the factory installed options so they all roll off the line with the same height and rake.
