Picked up this brace and slapped it on in about an hour. Install was really smooth, but here is a pro tip: read the instructions! I had to flip the track bar bolt around and re-torque. The flip gives the now longer bolts clearance on the axle side during full compression. I really liked this 1/4" thick design with a sealed bearing supporrting the sector shaft, so I bought it to try.

First impressions: front end feels very solid now, I did not have to do as much correcting and everything is quiet and smooth. The real test will be on the interstate tomorrow.

Looking forward to the update regarding improvement in highway manners.

Does yours have the updated gearbox?

I was considering the Synergy brace and recently found the Steer Smarts ... I like the idea of a bearing vs bushing. It seems like a simple process to remove that bracket and press in a new bearing if ever needed.

I do not have the steel gearbox. Unfortunately I dont have confidence in my local dealer to do the tsb work correctly. It is not so bad that I cant stand it. I only drive the glad 3 days per week and it was only fatiguing on 8+ drives. Now it has less sway and feels very sturdy.

That is what sold me on it. Also if it eats bearings it is only 5 Minute swap to change it to a new one. We will see.

Highway Update: truck is greatly improved from the constant sway and associated overcorrecting. Of course the play in the wheel is still there, but it is just that backlash in the box and not backlash + box deflection. That combo Was tiresome on long drives. You can feel the road more and this is good and bad. Just like the deflection of the box causes vague steering, it also works the other way to absorb some road imperfections. We will see how this goes long term, but for $~260 it is a good imrovement and peice of mind.
