i will apologize in advance for posting about something that has been discussed so many times. I have a 2021 Sport S. The only modification is replaced stock tire with 33’s. I have confirmed that i have the updated black steering box and the tires are properly inflated. I have read some reports that some of new steering boxes are having the same issues as the old ones. My steering is ok sometimes and not so ok at other times. I’m assuming that since its not happening all the time its not the steering box issue. Could the wind be causing this? I know Jeeps are more susceptible to the wind but could it be thats whats causing the messy steering feel at times? And btw it really hasn’t been crazy windy here

I just got my Sport S Willys in December and I notice the same thing. It does seem like just a little wind will make these things wander on the highway. Mine currently just has a 1.5" spacer leveling kit, but even before that it was squirrelly. I'm about to put a 2.5" Clayton Overland plus lift and 37's on it so I can't wait to be fighting this thing even more on the highway :CWL:

Definitely can be the wind, and it doesn't take much. The higher you go with it the worst it gets. You can help it by adding Geo Brackets or adjustable control arms and a beefier adjustable Trackbar. That's about all you can do to help it. It want all go away either but you can make it better. Soft tops don't help either, they are worse when the wind blows than hardtops are. It's also a jeep and wasn't built for luxury. It still amazes me that all of us are still willing to pay such a premium for these things but I've done multiple times. They are just so fun to drive.

1. Make sure your alignment is good. Jeeps drive best with slight toe-in.

2. Grab a torque wrench and a torque-value chart and make sure every nut and bolt on your front end is torqued properly. Loads of people have found nuts and bolts barely more than finger tight.

3. It's a brick so it will still get pushed around by the wind some.
