Unless your going to bigger tires and upgraded components then run the stock, sometimes even when you go to bigger tires the stock one is more than enough. I can't tell the difference between my stock one and the Fox one i got on now honestly on 37's. I'm only running the fox one to match the fox shocks, if not for that I'd still have the stock one on mine
No pull to the left due to the pressure of the new steering shock? I have ordered one of these in an effort to snug up the steering of my JTR, but based on the feedback I'm seeing here, I may cancel the order.

Nope, no pull to the left at all.

No need to upgrade the oem steering stabilizer on a non lifted Mojave. It’s a waste of money
1. Fox one looks better. And matches the other Fox stuff already there... :)
2. It made a noticeable difference for me at speeds over 50mph. Under 50 couldn't tell, but get it to 75mph and tracking was noticeably better as was reducing bump steer compared to the Stock Stabilizer. I'm all stock, with updated steering box (from factory). Prior to the Fox ATS, a fair amount of work to keep it tracked, especially on bad pavement (which is the norm here in Michigan).

Was it necessary, nah, but make highway driving much nicer... now if it only helped my mpgs..

If your getting bump steer sitting stock then you got other issues going on that need to be addressed. A stock jeep should not be getting bump steer sitting stock and that's at any speed.

Still waiting on my JTM to deliver, new to the Jeep world and dumb questions on my part. Just making sure its equipped with one and if I needed to upgrade moving up to 35's on tires. All good for now and will run the stock until I encounter issues or just want it to "look good"

Was planning on a Teraflex damper. Still running stock damper with no problem, drive straight going 80. That's with a lift and 37s on 21' JTR. Ended up spending that money somewhere else. Just make sure you have the correct tire pressure first.

I herd the new onew with the electric steering are more sensitive. I lowered the tire PSI to 33 cold and now it's better but still not great. Like a new pair of glasses I'll just have to get used to it. It's only at 60+.

1. Every jeep we test drove pretty much did the same thing -- compared to my other vehicles Jeep bounces around and takes more effort to track -- different suspension setup (live front axle)
2. Everything was checked (alignment, torque, etc) by dealership
3. Fox ATS made a noticeable difference.

So what other issue would there be?

Not sure but if it's right you can ride without a Steering Stabilizer on a stock jeep. How about ball joints and the joints on the tie rod are they still good? I'm on 37's and the Fox doesn't do anything for mine when compared to the stock Stabilizer. I only have it installed to match the shocks. It should not have bump steer for sure if it's totally stock. It will ride and drive different than other jeeps because of the solid axles but if your good with it the way it rides now then I guess all good. If it were me I'd be a little co concerned if I was getting Bumper steer on a stock Jeep.

Agree. I replaced the stock with a Fox ATS and there was a noticeable difference. Especially on rough roads...

There is no electric steering. It's a standard recirculating ball steering gear with hydraulic/power assist. The difference is the electric pump. IT's called electro-hydraulic steering. The electro part being the pump that's controlled by electronics to supply more pressure when needed, less when not needed to save energy and fuel. It's one way of cutting down on power draining hydraulic pumps driven by belt that put out stupid pressures even going straight down a flat highway in the middle of KS. This way the electronics sense the steering angle and forces needed and adjust the pump as needed (at least that's how I was educated on it) - saving fuel and giving the driver more power from the engine as needed instead of a belt driven pump robbing that HP all the time even when going straight.

Run the tires where they are supposed to be - don't wear them out trying to fix steering issues. There's too much reliance on dropping pressure to compensate for that which should be fixed otherwise. Maybe you should be running at 33 - I don't know your tire size and truck's weight, but dropping the tires below where they work and wear best is a bandaid, cutting tire life to compensate for steering issues. Sidewalls wear and heat up if underinflated and you wear the edges of the tire more quickly.

But years ago some Jeep expert said the solution to all steering problems was dropping tire pressure, all other causes and reasons and tire life and safety be damned.

I spoke with a very well known and respected 4x4 shop here in the West today. They said they need more caster. That's what it feels like to me also. need at least 6 deg. and I agree. I'll see what it is at before I do anything. Adjustable front lower CAs are an easy fix to add caster. Who makes the best ones for street and highway?

I kept the stock rubicon one on. Was fine with stock tires and even with the 40’s until they hit 5k miles. I went with the king shocks jt spec stabilizer. Huge difference!

How long of a wait did you have getting the King stabilizer?
