Finally pulled the trigger and traded my TRD Pro 4Runner last week for this beautiful Sting Gray Rubi. Yesterday I had the Truck Covers USA installed and then added Yakima HD bars and today put the Rhino Rack X-tray on it. Also added a new 13” antenna.

Taking this thing to Colorado next week and plan to hit all the trails in the San Juans.

Couple weeks in and figured I should post my new ride in here.

Got her home.

After our first visit to the hills.

Was trying for a Sport S w/ Max Tow but they are about as rare as frogs teeth here in Canada When I was buying we could only find 2. Both more than half a continent away. One was Silver and the other Blue. Shudder. I couldn't bring myself to buy a brand new vehicle and then wrap it so I went for the next best thing.

She's got everything from the Max Tow except the Wide Axles. That means my plans to lift her will be a "bit" more than I wanted both in cash and hardware, but I think it'll be worth it!

I went with my gut on the colour. I'd not seen one in real life out here prior and a lot of the pictures make the sting grey look weird, but I just knew this was the colour I wanted. I can't be happier!

The goal will be to fit her with all the needed gear for overlanding, while still keeping things as practical as I can since she's my DD.

O.
Best color!

I love the fit and finish of that cover and have been considering switching. Does it appear to be water tight? Also what are the specs of the crossbars? I see they're the HD bars but does the mount point allow for the additional weight?

The shop I ordered it from did the install for free. He said it had a couple gaskets to seal it, but they weren’t enough and he added some other materials in order to water seal it. It has drains on front and back. The HD bars are the large 68”, which are longer than they usually put on there, but the longer will allow me to slide that basket over and still fit ski racks or bikes on one end. I don’t know the exact weight specifications, but a guy on here did all the homework and is running a 120 or so pound tent on his. I eventually plan to do the same.

Here they are. I’m very happy with the build quality. Rubber pads are bolted on.

Those are the wheels I have on my JKU and they look great on the JT... I've only just ordered my JTS so have a bit of time... wondering if my dealer will give me grief if I opt to keep my wheels and tires, swapping them when the time comes.

I love this tonneau and rack. This is what I am hoping to do on my sting gray, only with a rtt where you have the basket.

Are you guys with black grills picking them in an order sheet? I ordered my 2021 Sport S yesterday, he said Black Satin grille wasn't on the available order list. Does anyone have a part number so I can find it to buy separately? I keep ending up on pages with Wrangler grilles.

That's my plan as well. That's why I went with the HD bars. At that time, I will get roof crossbars that mount to the gutters and move the basket up there.

Well we're almost in the same neck of the woods. I look forward to seeing your set up and learning from what you do. Maybe I'll even see you out on a trail round these parts.

My new baby. She’s going to be a mall crawler and convertible cruiser for the most part. So happy to have my first Jeep!
